when i receive a text from a person in my address book, i only see their number.

regardless of the format, it is random if i see their name or just their number.

ie, i have had texts from 2 diff people and their numbers were both programmed as (xxx)xxx-xxxx and for one person i see their name and for the other i just see the number.

the format doesnt seem to matter, i have them added as i posted above and like this... xxxxxxxxxx and xxx-xxx-xxxx some even have the 1 in front. 1xxxxxxxxxx

any way to fix this?

This is a bug in certain OS versions. The topic has been beaten to death. Upgrade to the latest version. Instructions are at the top of the 9700 forum.
