alarm clock...
Please Login to Remove!
i've been trying to figure this out for weeks and can't find a good answer when I searched..
is there a way to make a profile that JUST allows the alarm to go off? from what I have figured out it looks like the "off" profile (which I use at night) also turns the alarm clock off which makes it kind of pointless to use at night..
if i made my own "off" profile, which option/category do i need to leave on to make the alarm still sound?

I use the Quiet profile and my alarm will go off as scheduled...Also, I don't do it, but the alarm is still supposed to sound even if you turn the BB off. It turns on automatically for the alarm.

I turn my BB off every night, and the alarm automatically turns it back on and sounds.

Right now only if it would work when the battery was dead...
Forgot my charger on a trip a few months ago, blackberry was dead, alarm didn't go off, missed my ride. Not fun.

I missed a flight out of Chicago for that very reason. I turned my BB off with so little juice it wouldn't power back on to wake me.
So... I understand completely where you are coming from.

It worked on my 7100t and it works on my Pearl. Just give it a try. Set it on quiet, set an alarm for a minute from now and see if it goes off. That will give you peace of mind.

Don't know...I just tried mine on the "off" profile and the alarm sounded. I just tried it on the "Quiet" profile and it sounded. I can even turn the BB off and it turns on for the Alarm. I've never been late because it didn't go off. Well...not true...When I first got a BB I didn't notice the "Active on weekends" setting!

i have an 8700g. Whenever I try to shut it off when the alarm is set, it asks me whether I want the alarm to go off or not. As a result, the rooster started crowing on a sunday afternoon in the middle of church...needless to say it was beyong amusing.

I use the "Quiet" profile at night, and I also turn off the alarm setting during the weekend.

turn of radio?
If everything is going to be quiet other than the alarm, why not do what I do which is turn the wireless radio off. That way it doesn't matter what profile I use. Does it really matter what time stamp the email has, for me it doesn't. When the alarm goes I turn it off and in the same move turn the wireless radio back on and let the messages flow in.

psp, do you still have your default "quiet" profile? When i set that none of the other alerts sound but my alarm still goes off. Also if you power down the device if you have the alarm set it will tell you when it will turn back on to set the alarm off. At least mine does.

Perhaps I confused you, when I say in one move it turns the radio on I meant I am the one move, I click Dismiss for the alarm and then I quickly scroll to select Turn Wireless on, so I turn the phone on. I do this so often that I don't even think about it, it is second nature to turn the phone on

Is the volume set to "high", or the tune set to one you can hear?
I don't think the alarm has anything to do with the profiles.

Best alarm clock I've ever had!! It's soooo loud and I have it set to snooze every 10 minutes. It goes off like clockwork. I love my Pearl just as much as (if not more than) my wife.
