I played with this little moose recently on Rogers. Software is sluh-gish. Especially compared to my beat up 9700. Seems the device is under powered to handle the extra bells & whistles that RIM dreamed up to satiate the fanboys in the media.

Am I imagining things?

I wouldn't describe it as a Ferrari... but honestly performance is decent. I find it good, especially since release .246.

Also new features and the combination of the touchscreen and keyboard makes it a real winner in my eyes.

I agree and hopefully the new official OS release from BB/AT&T should only make it better. Downloading it as I type this.
