What is the difference between the 9330 and the 8530? I had the 8530 and just received the 9330.

the major difference between the 9300 and the 8530 is that the 9300 is an hspa device and the 8530 is CDMA. With hspa generally the call quality is better, less dropped calls and its an integrated network so everywhere you have a voice signal you have data. With a cdma tower just because you have a signal does not always mean you'll have a data signal. hspa - sim card (you can easily transfer your number to another device by swapping out sims), cdma - no sim card and the device requires manual programming by a dealer to work. if your still trying to decide between the devices go 9300, better network plus it will be compatible with os 6 in the near future.

The OP was asking about the 9330, not the 9300. The 9330 is a CDMA device, and has no SIM card.
