I received an automatic update notification which suggested that I was upgrading to OS 6. the software started to download - i disconnected my b-berry since I had to run. When I reconnected my b-berry there was no indication of an upgrade to OS 6

can anyone explain - is OS 6 for 9700 available yet ?

No its not.
Is it possible it was actually downloading desktop manager 6.0?

To be clear, there is no OS for any other devices or even beta releases as of yet.
