Does EVERY iteration of an app need a new signature (assume for a minute that it's already been determined that the app does in fact need signed). Do I really need to pay $20 everytime I add new features and/or fix a bug?
And each individual app needs a separate signature too--right?
This could end up being an expensive proposition for me--I've got several apps that in mind that *I* wanted for my own use but don't really see them as popular enough to sell a lot of.
Yes--I've searched. Everything I've found either explains the use of the Signature Authorization Tool or talks about removing the "Sent from my Blackberry" signature from email.

The signature is based on a checksum (SHA1) of the application. So yes any time you change anything it needs to be resigned. That said, the keys are good for something like 2+billion signatures so it is unlikely you will ever have to pay $20 again.
