The real issue is that it appears you have limited control over who can access information due the structure of the "cloud." On the other hand it likely does not matter due to all the backdoors installed in equipment now a days.

Looks like the someone has found the carriers using customer search and other data to sell to various marketing companys. Hard to believe anyone would look at the places people go on the internet.

It is getting harder and harder to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Maybe we have reached the point where they are one and the same.

Activity like this should be punished by public hanging using the short drop and then letting them rot on the rope.

With the fines in the millions it does not seem to stop or slow down any of them. even the robo calls which are supposed to be blockable by consumers does not work. People with a certain number of minutes on their cell phones end up paying for the excess calls. The carriers wont do anything because they reap the rewards with over charges
