Default A Few Questions i have to ask.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Everyone,
Hope you're having great time.
I just wanted to ask a few questions about the OS upgrade.
Actually, I'm very conscious about my phone, so I needed to ask all these before I upgrade my phone.
If I upgrade My Blackberry Curve 8520 from OS Version: 4.6.1.314. To OS: 5.0.x.xx (given in the sticky threads).
Will It work without any flaws?
Or will I get any errors while the upgrade or loading?
And if I get any errors (maybe), what do I do to fix them?
What if my phone gets useless?
Will I be able to downgrade to my current OS?
Also,
Will my apps, memos and everything be automatically backed up? Or do I have to backup manually?
And how do we back up the apps?
Thanks

If it isn't broken, don't update it.

If your device is working as you want and need it to work, then there is no need to mess with it. As NJ said above - if it ain't broken, don't try to fix it.

One great thing about BlackBerrys is they rarely get "bricked" during an upgrade. If the upgrade fails or gets interrupted you can almost always just re-run the process and it will work.

You can upgrade or downgrade as you wish. If you install a new OS version and don't like it you can simply downgrade back to what you had, provided the OS install files are still available online somewhere.

It used to hang a lot...
So yesterday I upgraded my OS to 5.0.0.681.
Its working great and fast.
But the problem is, I had backed up it on 6th April 2013. Yesterday I didn't get any option to back up and the upgrade started right away. Well, here starts the problem.
The upgrade completed. All went fine. Apps loaded correctly. I don't care about the contacts, bbm contacts as I'll get them back again easily. But the memos had many of my passwords and security detailed saved. So after the installation, I tried to restore, but I forgot the password, so is there anyway to crack it? Or extract the files?
