I have not tried, but I would imagine if you set your sound profile to All Alerts Off or Phone Calls Only, then it will not stop playing songs.

Yeah, this is an annoying bug (or feature) on this phone. My old Flip use to play both songs and incoming audio alerts without hiccups.

The only way around it is to set ALL of my alerts to vibrate, and I just personalized them with a single or multiple shorts or long vibrations.

Also if you are playing music and go to Calculator and hit "del" until there is nothing in the calc screen it will make a sound and it will STOP the music playback (not even Pause it).

This phone is very capable of handle multiple sounds, so I dont know why RIM dont allow it to play them simultaneously. The Pearl Flip do it!

Also slightly off topic, the Flip can also take pictures while playing music!

Little things that I miss... anyway I love the storm2

10 minutes ago, I was searching up reasons why this was an issue with my 9700... but I remembered this line, "When in doubt, pull it out."

I just did a battery pull. And the music doesn't cut off anymore..
