Hi Remy,

Thanks for the wonderful software. Have been wanting to use a good password manager with ability to sync since some time now.

I am facing one issue though (The issue is mentioned in a post above but did not see the solution for it.)

I did not create keepass db on BB. It was pushed to the BB during sync.
Now on subsequent syncs when I put the correct password in Dm it says:
Unable to Decrypt Device Database using the supplied credentials

I am not using keyfiles
I am able to open the database on BB which I am entering on the desktop prompt

key pass BB version: 1.2.1102
keypass addin: 1.2.1102
DM version: 4.2.2.14

thanks!
Satish

Try a sync then immediately open the system error log and look for any entries from KeePassBB. That should give more information about why the sync isn't working.

You can get the system error log by holding the ALT key and pressing LGLG

Default KeepassBB to support kdbx or desktop version 2 soon?

Remy,
Any plans to support kdbx files or KeePass v2 soon? What is your timing? Love the desktop version of that app so I'm hoping a BB version is on the horizon!

I have the database parsing and serialization code done but I've still got a ways to go. It'll probably won't be before the end of april though as I've got a lot of rent-paying work to do over the next few weeks.

Thanks Remy for the update. Is there anyway to help fund your efforts? Maybe if the word got out you were working on the v2 for BB folks (like me) would contribute to the effort?

Just curious if this works with the Storm? I am debating on upgrading, but this app is one that I have to keep, so I would like to know if it is compatible ahead of time.

Thanks again for such a great app RemyJ.

It works but the current version has compatability mode turned ON but some Storm owners have complained that it made things worse so the next release (available in a few days) will allow the user to select whether to use compatability mode or not.

Storm owners chime in...

Default Cannot sync with 8900

I've been using KeePass on the desktop for years and was really excited to find a blackberry version that would sync. However, I haven't had any luck getting it to sync so far.

I have the following versions:
KeepassBB 1.2.1134
OS: 4.6.1.174 (but I've tried on older versions of 4.6.1.x as well)
Keepass 1.10
DM 4.7

I have the add-in installed. I've created a blank db on my device in /store/home/user/keepass/k.db. I set the same key (no keyfile being used) as what I'm using on the db on my desktop. I have an SD card inserted.

When I sync I get the following error:
"There was an error on the device: Exception opening the device database: net.rim.device.api.io.file.FileIOException: File system error"

When connecting with the USB cable I've tried selecting both Yes and No to the "Enable mass storage" question. Same error either way.

Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

The ability to disable the MDS proxy may help those of you having problems with loading a file via http. On that note, in this release you can auto-open http based files the same way you open files from the device.

Font size wasn't saving correctly on OS 4.5 devices.
Passwords that start with "!" weren't being transferred correctly between the desktop add-in and the device during synchronization.

RemyJ,
I just upgraded to the new Verizon OS .148 on my Storm, and now I get the following error when trying to sync.

---------------------------

---------------------------
There was an error on the device: Exception opening the device database: net.rim.device.api.io.file.FileIOException: File system error
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Any suggestions for getting this link fixed?

Was it working before the upgrade?
Can you successfully open the database on the device?
Where is the database stored on the device?

Yes it was working just fine. I can indeed open the database on the phone, and it is stored @ /SDCard/Blackberry.kdb

I'm not sure if something got broken during the upgrade or what.

I am using DM 4.7.0.32

Synchronization won't work if the database is on your SDCard because the SDCard isn't reachable when the device is plugged in via USB. Check the docs for more info.

Opening a database via HTTP wasn't creating local directories correctly.
Removed 64KB limit on keyfiles. You must install the latest desktop add-in from the msi file for this to work.

Very strange. It's always been on the sdcard. I usually disable Mass Storage mode. I will move to device and see what happens.

Disabling Mass Storage Mode should have worked but the error you describe is exactly the error you'd get if Mass Storage Mode was still on.
