hi all pls help me out am facing difficulties installing opera mini
am using bb 7290, l downloaded opera mini 4.2 but when l load
and try installing, it says "the application operette4$2dhfi has
attempted to open a location inside the firewall and outside the
firewall which is not allowed by IT policy".

anyone with a solution should help me out pls.

Sounds to me like you need to remove the IT Policy, unless the device is still connected to BES. Then it is not advisable to try to circumvent it - if you value your job.

Use the search feature and read the FAQ on how to remove it.

No the device is for my personal use and not connected to
any BES.

If there is a way pls help out.

Also, that 7290 is ancient, in the world of blackberrys. Did you verify that the version of Opera Mini you will be trying to run will work on the 7290? I don't know. Just asking.
