Im doing the usual enterprise activation process, calendar, call logs, emails come over... but since Monday address books fail to come over. Why could this be happening?

is the wireless sync option set to on for the address book ?

Whate version of BES and what environment? Did anything change on the BES server - even a Windows update?

Have you rebooted the BES?

I found when my BES team and I import some address book's it only fails when there is not a First or a Last name in the address book from where it is pulling from. Maybe something you should look into. This is one of the reasons we will never import Frequent contacts because they are always being updated and a lot of time no first or last names are entered.

I have found that the Syncronization has stopped on the services side. The options are grayed out so I can't restart it. Working with the server guys to restart the entire thing manually, but they are too busy with other issues. Does anyone know any other way to resolve this?

You need the synchronization enabled on both sides. The BES has a "BlackBerry Synchronization Service" that needs to be with the BES Service Account credentials (with appropriate ACLs in place on the server-based copy of the user's contacts) and the handheld needs its "Desktop [SYNC]" service book. If either piece is not functioning, the address book's contacts will not synchronize.

As a side note, we've also had problems in some cases with individual address book entries not synchronizing if any of these fields are missing: firstname, lastname, companyname. All three fields should be populated for every user. It gives some nice busy work for the guy or gal's secretary to do!
