Hi all,
I have a small scale BES Domino installed just for my IT department guys, so decided to use MSDE to save cost. Anyway, it is just for our 50 odd IT guys.
Now I'm having problem adding user and get these errors:
[10226] (12/15 20:08:32):{0x1038} COM Error 0x45B680 in UpdateAgentId - Could not allocate space for object 'ServerConfigHistory' in database 'besmgmt' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. - IDispatch error #3092
[10224] (12/15 20:08:32):{0x1038} Database error in UpdateAgentId (err=0x80040E14, native err=1105) - Could not allocate space for object 'ServerConfigHistory' in database 'besmgmt' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full.
First thing that came to my thought is the MSDE limit. My BESMgmt size is currently 102MB only, is it over the limit already?
Anyway, in an attempt to resolve this issue, I researched and found a RIM article
KB-03968 "How To - Shrink or enlarge the BlackBerry Configuration Database transaction log". I tried to run the enlarge database part using the command ALTER DATABASE, but failed with an error:-
Msg 5041, Level 16, State 1, Server MY-BES-NAME, Line 1
MODIFY FILE failed. File 'BESMgmt' does not exist.
[BEGIN]
Enlarging the BlackBerry Configuration Database transaction log
To expand the BlackBerry Configuration Database transaction log when running MSDE 2000 or SQL Server 2000, complete the following steps:
- Open a command prompt.
- Type osql -E and press ENTER.
- Type the following commands in the specified order: 1> exec sp_helpdb <database_name>
where <database_name> is the name of the BlackBerry Configuration Database (for example BESMgmt).
Note: This will display the file names used in the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
2> go
1> ALTER DATABASE <database_name> MODIFY FILE (NAME = <database_name>, MAXSIZE=UNLIMITED)
2> go
1> quit
[END]
Folks, any ideas where went wrong? Thanks in advance.
