Default Red X on accepted calendar invites

Please Login to Remove!

Am getting an issue with users on a 2010 Exchange server, if a meeting request is accepted on the handset it does get accepted (sender gets the response) however the handset sits with a red X on the item.

This only happens however when the invites are sent from outside our Exchange environment (customers/3rd parties etc) anything sent internally user to user is fine!

I've checked and double checked permissions/MAPI install on BES (up to the latest version) and cannot seem to get rid of this problem.

Has anyone had this issue before? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

In event log am seeing
"{user@address.com} Send() failed: ERR_FAIL, RefId=1596719540, Tag=1033275

In BES logs
[40465] (05/20 15:36:57.326):{0x1B34} {user@address.com} Get source key for this MAPI object, EntryId=27224

Also have found that wireless activation seems to have stopped working as well, tried 2 users with clean handsets and ended up having to do both on cable. It tries but eventually times out on wireless activation.

Solved this activation issue it was external email filtering classing the blackberry.net emails as spam suddenly!

Original problem with external invites still persists though so any help/advice greatly appreciated, have looked at a lot of articles on troubleshooting this and so far nothing has helped.

That might be a setting in your Exchange 2010. Although the symptoms are a bit different, please check the following KB article:

KB20866-Meeting invitations received from external domains show as regular email messages on the BlackBerry smartphone

Thanks, I tried this anyway and checked the 2010 settings in powershell all fine, as you said its not quite the same as the handsets do get the invite as an appointment and you can accept/decine etc, the accept even works and goes back to the sender as "accepted" but on the handset it sits there with a red X despite the fact it has sent it!?

I've tried all sorts now, re-done all permissions, removed MAPI/CDO pack re-installed it and recreated the MAPI profile etc.

Still getting errors in MAG logs

If you scroll up in the message with the red X, what is the status?
