Default Exchange Client Access Server (CAS Server) and BES 5

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys,
Hoping someone can help

We recently installed Exchange 2010 along with bes 5, working perfectly for the last 2 month until a Microsoft Client Access Server was installed Friday night and this has now stopped email on blackberrys.

I am in a bit of a situation that this was only flagged to me Sunday Lunchtime and I have until tomorrow morning to get it back up (if its even doable).

we have 250 BB users, checking their last connect time they all stopped talking to the BES 5 server at 9pm on friday, the exact time our exchange guys put in the CAS Server so it has to be related.

does anyone have any pointers that woudl eb a good starting point ?! One thing that I have noticed is that this change appaers to now have my outlook profile point to the CAS server name opposed to the Exchange server name - im guessing in short I need to change where the BES 5 Server referenceces so change it from referencing the exchange server to the cas server!?

Any Help Would be great!

Thanks Dom

I do not have much experience what happens if you install a new CAS server.

However:
Have you checked the mapi profile of the besadmin user ?
on the BES server, logged in as the besadmin user:
control-panel, Blackberry server configuration, There is a Tab "blackberry Server"
check the mapi profile (enter the server name and the besadmin user).
Reboot the BES server or restar the BES services.

Take a look at KB25864-Unable to send or receive email after the user's mailbox is moved to another Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP1 Server
