I just got a replacement 8330 but I want to wipe my other one I was to dumb to figure it out, anyone got a quick easy answer? Thanks

Options > Security Options > General Settings > click menu button > Wipe Handheld

will wiping a handheld erase everything??? i have an old pearl that i want to gift away but want to make sure that no one will be able to recover text messages or emails.

Yes, it will. Everything except the media card.

It will not wipe out everything. It will wipe out customer data, but will leave applications and the operating system behind. To wipe out EVERYTHING, download a copy of JL_CMDER (search it here) and use the wipe function.

Also go into your BIS (if you have not done so) and delete any accounts for the old phone.
