1 why won't jl_cmmdr or whatever its called install on my computer it brings up a quick dos window then closes and does nothing else.

2 I have desktop sotware number 7 on my computer. Should I use the 4.5 update it finds for my phone or should I download it from another site

What OS are you running on your PC?

That's entirely up to you. You could use the update through DM, or you could download the OS from the sticky at the top of the forum for your device, which I presume is an 8830 as your profile states.

Hmm it should work. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling again.
