Hi Guys,

I have a really abnormal problem with my BB. When I insert my SIM CARD in my BB, my BBM / INTERNET service does not work. However when I insert a friends SIM CARD in my BB, the BBM / INTERNET SERVICE works. I figured it was a problem with the SIM so my service provider replaced my SIM. I also tried inserting my new SIM in another BB and the BBM / INTERNET works. Then I tried inserting my new sim in my BB and the BBM / INTERNET service does not work. Are u guys following me? So basically my phone and sim card are not compatible with each other which does not make any sense. Because my new SIM works in other BB's and other SIM cards work in my BB.

So what is the problem? Do I need to reformat my phone?

Anyway, do you have a BlackBerry data plan?

Is the phone branded to the same carrier as the SIM? Or is the phone at least unlocked if it isn't the same carrier?

Resend your service books and do a battery pull. Tell us the results.

Great! Did you add the phone to your BIS account through Vodafone's site?

Yes I did tried doing that!!! Even Vodafone has no clue whats going!

Calm down. We're trying to help you.

Everything you've described indicates that there are problems with the provisioning of your SIM card, not the card or the device. Please verify with Vodafone that you have all of the required bolt-ons provisioned and then log into the Vodafone BIS site and try to re-send the service books.
