Default Multiple Calendars Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I am using a Blackberry Curve 8330 running the 4.3.0.127 software and I have a serious calendar problem. Whenever I go to my calendar, I have an option of looking at four different ones, but only one of them is actually synced with my computer. My issue comes in that two of the four calendars are named the same thing and so I have put things in my calendar under the wrong thing quite a few times and I am sick and tired of having to transfer them over. Is there any way to delete these three extra calendars or am I just stuck with them on the list? Can I rename the calendar that I actually use? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Nope not unless you delete the email accounts they are associated with. Go to options> advanced options> default services, and make sure the one you want is set to defsult.

I only have three e-mail accounts set-up, yet I have four calendars. Where is the fourth calendar coming from? Also, if I look at my Blackberry back-up it shows three things, Calendar, Calendar, and Calendar - All. How do I delete that second calendar that says it is empty?

Thanks Again.

There is a way to delete the extra calendars.... I actually fell into this thread looking for the one that explains how to delete unwanted calendars.

If I find it I'll come back and advise.

Default Multiple AOL Calendars

That's not working. I also have multiple calendars for the same aol account. When I remove the account from my BB, the extra calendars stay on the BB. How can I delete those calendars?

Not sure if this will help:

Go to options / advanced options / Service Book
You should see corresponding email adresses ending with [cical]. Delete that one.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! No one has been able to answer my question. No one even seemed to understand the problem I was having. Your suggestion worked. Thanks.

Default and thanks from me too

I have looked and looked for a way to delete all the calendars associated with various email addresses, leaving just one calendar. I wanted to keep the email accounts but lose the calendars. Thank you thank you thank you!

Question--- when you reboot or re-send the service books, do you have to delete the offending service books every time?

Why RIM has not made it so that you can select which calendars to view and IT KEEPS THAT SETTING SAVED is beyond me. There have been so many people that complain about this... they must know it's an issue.

What's the safest way to get rid of empty calendars?
Delete the ICAL entry?
