Default Will Blackberry ever make a flip phone?

Please Login to Remove!

Just curious, I think it would be sweet to see something like that.

Where would you put the track wheel? and I guess another concern would be battery life with a second screen for the outside of the shell.

It could work I think.

put the track wheel on the right side of the keypad portion. keyboard would have to be a suretype or qwerty

I personally dont like flip phones since you gotta flip them open just ot use it. And I also think it would look awkward talking into a big clam.

Default hi

no no no you guys are looking at this all wrong, a flip blackberry would not be such a bad idea at all. Make it look like that little motorola text messaging phone. to make a call you keep it closed and there is a keypad and a lil monochrome or collor screen and cam on the outside. inside there is room for more screen put the keypad on the left side and the croll on the right side but not on the side on the top like on a mouse or on a sk2 and the exit button right under it. anybody good with photoshop i have it in my head but cant exactly put it together

And the company finally realized the accident was not my fault. Cameras arent just for kids to take silly pictures, i use the cam in my nextels to send pictures of products on the go

Talking into a clam........that's hilarious. People already say I'm talking into a calculator. But a clam, "that's funny right there I don't care who you are, that funny right there." (Larry the cable guy)

I've seen that little Moto phone you're talking about. I think most of us BB users would not get something like that. I know I would not.

Alltel has a Kyocera flip pda phone. Not as functional as the bb, and it is huge. Pass for me.

It's because of corporate security.

Okay, but let's be honest... we hold calculators up to our head.

The closest thing to something like this was one of the first 3G phones released by the '3' network in Australia (not sure if it was released anywhere else).

http://images.google.com.au/images?q...r=&sa=N&tab=wi

UUUUUUGLY!
It was extremely chunky. The screen was big and a terribly low resolution.
Possibly the worst phone i've ever seen/used.

If RIM were going to make a flip-phone/clamshell they would probably have to use predictive text (7100V style) to keep the keypad small, and have a nice sharp screen.
You don't really need a camera I don't think.
