I have a 8250 Curve and just recently the buttons have stopped working, when attempting to press them most the time the phone does not respond, if I repeatedly press the buttons it begins to work after some time, any ideas what this could be?

Yes it is.
There is no 8250, but there is an 8520.
Hopefully a mod will move it to the 8500 device series forum.

Has the device been exposed to any moisture?
