Default Enterprise activation over wireless

We have installed BES on Win 2003 R2 with SP2.
Enterprise activation over network (USB locally on server / BB remote desktop SW) worked fine.
Enterprise activation over wireless network didn’t work.

In log we found this:
[40239] (05/21 12:08:20.471):{0x12F0} {user@domain.local} Still handled by desktop
[30160] (05/21 12:08:20.471):{0x12F0} { [email address]l } GetDeviceId() did not return a PIN, PIN currently is not set for this user.

On Blackberry device (8310 or 8100), after long period of time cca 30 min, error was shown: 'The server is not responding. Please contact your System Administrator.'
During startup of BB device, two messages is received from T-Mobile and Blackberry (Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network.).
We also tried procedure found on BB forum http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...ctivation.html that says:
1-Everytime you EA a user, after you have set the Activation password. Always close the user property window. This will make sure that the BES will be able to pick up the user PIN number and update the mailbox accordingly.

2- For all those users currently in this state, you can just set the Activation password, close their property window and EA the handheld again.

but still without any success.

PIN message from and to BB device works fine, i.e. before activation is done it is possible to send and receive PIN message on BB client device.

My environment is:
BB Enterprise Server Ver. 4.1.2.25
MS Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition with SP2
MS Exchange 2007 Standard ×64

.local is not a good thing. How will they get email from outside?

EA OTA might fail if you have domain.com and user is really .local

Vlado,
after the wired activation (as you said it worked fine), can you send or receive emails? Is your BES SRP status state connected or not? Does an activation message ends up in user mailbox or not (for a brief moment before disappearing)? If it does, does it go away or sits in the mailbox?

1. After wired activation I can send and receive emails. On this server there are 4 BB users who receive and send their mail normally.
2. How to find whether BES SRP status state is connected or not?
When I click on Validate SRP Key and ID button on BlackBerry Configuration Panel it says that is OK (SRP Key and ID are Valid.), and testing network connection form BB Router options is also OK.
3. When I start BB device, first message is from T-Mobile welcome and second is from BlackBerry with subject Registration, after device is connected to network. Those two messages sits in device mailbox, but canxxx8217;t be seen in exchange server in user mailbox via outlook. After this we proceed with enterprise activation manually from BB device and this part does not succeed.

Vlado, he is right with .local email you'll be able to activate by wire only and after that sending/receiving email works as it uses RIM network for mail delivery.

Thanks fadmin and knottyrope.
When we change default email (from .local to .com) everything starts to work perfect.
