8703e from Sprint will work only on Sprint. they are not required to unlock it yet, nor is any other carrier required to allow it on their network. they are CDMA and do not work on GSM. welcome to the forums

Thank you two!
I want use it in China Unicom, that's a CDMA carrier!
Can I change Sprint's 8703e to another CDMA carrier? such as change PPC6700.

Thank you too!

Its the nature of CDMA, they are not required to unlock it. (in the US) and China Unicom is not required to allow it.

You cannot use the Sprint 8703e on another carrier's network.

What about Verizon's ??
I load lates update from Sprint, but my device is from Verizon

Should I downgrade it and take back to Verizon software, so I could load another PRL ??

Loading a different carrier's OS on the device will not make it run on the other carrier's network.

CDMA devices only work on their 'home' carrier's network.

wow there has been a rash of these threads lately

Lets break it down for them
Sprint = Sprint network only allows sprint phones

Verizon= Verizon only allows Verizon phones

You can not use either OS on another Carriers phone to make it work on the other network. It doesnt work that way.

Sorry, but why are you assuming that I would use it in USA?
I want to load an outside USA carrier's PRL...

An 8703e is a Sprint device, and cannot be unlocked at all to use on any other carrier network.

I feel like I'm repeating myself.
