Does the BB pearl 8100 have LED lights on the trackball. I have never noticed it, and if yes, how does one turn it on?

Yes you can change and control the LED lights for the trackball on the 8100. There were several programs that one could use to do this, but the one I remember is called Color Pearl.

I remember a member here developed something called BlingBall. Use the search button :D

It depends on the OS version you are running. BlingBall only works on OS 4.5. Color Pearl only works on OS 4.2. I've used both during the 4 years I had my 8100 - Color Pearl first, then Blingball when I upgraded the OS. Both worked great.
