when I use usb to update from my vista. This started after I had to do a total wipe of my phone. Nothing has been right since. I attach the usb to each of the three ports I have on my laptop and I get the same error msgs and I am about to lose my mind. I have uodated the desktop to the latest version. I then attach the usb and get the following: the charging source cannot charge your battery. (um, I dont wanna charge my battery) second message. Some USB hubs might not provide enough power, Plug the hub into a power outlet and reconnect your device. try connecting to another usb port, verify that your usb cable is securly connected to your device and usb port. verify that your computer is not in standby, hibernate, or sleep mode. verify that the device drivers are installed on your computer.

I cannot get these two to communicate no matter what I do. I will say that I can connect to my computer at work. I just cant believe that I have 3 usb's that worked fine before the total wipe and I haven't been able to connect since.
Please any help would be appreciated

Try connecting via usb (NOT through a hub - use a direct connection to the pc) with your BlackBerry's battery out. Then put the battery in and let it reboot.

sadly, that didn't work, I did see where the drivers loaded but I got the same message :( It's so frustrating. I appreciate your trying to help me though

I have thesame problem too with my 9530 and it has not been solve till date, am now using external battery charger which redicules me.
