Most of the last six months have been procedural disputes, but the Plaintiff succeeded in avoiding arbitration and a trial date has been set by the court. You can currently read the update here and see a copy of a recent order:
Such a waste of money and time in our judicial system. There are way more important issues on this planet to deal with. The 8830 wont even be on the market by the time this finally goes to court.
I think that is their plan. Verizon may lose the suit but by that time, who will really care about the settlement offer they give you for your 5-year old device
Oh, come on, I'm sure that we will get a free DAY of use for Verizon Navigator.
But frankly, if the "mosquito" annoys Verizon, so be it. I can see them charging for Navigator but open up the GPS to outside applications - this is kind of like MS and Internet Explorer - anticompetitive.
And, yes, I have a puck but that means yet another dongle to carry around and another one to charge up.
