My girlfriend recently got her Pearl. 2 days ago she started having an issue with her sound Profiles. She hasn't made any changes or installed new software. When she selects the Loud profile it won't ring all the time. Other profiles seem to work sporatically as well.

Another issue is that it takes several seconds for a caller to hear here answer the phone. Usually she will say Hello twice before I hear her the third time.

She has OS load 4.2.0.42 and from wht I am reading on the forum I'm not sure taht I want to upgrade her phone.

Any thoughts on what might be going on?

I had the similar issues when I bought the phone but after upgrade it worked fine. Its not problem with any particular profile (at least in mycase) its just all of a sudden ringer/media player audio fails. Try upgrading OS from T-mobile ; hopefully that will fix the issue
