Hey all,

I'm well aware that OBEX is not supported on the Blackberries. I'm also aware that J2ME does NOT support object/binary serialization. Is there a known/accepted way of transfering files over a Bluetooth connection, even if it means I have to implement my own binary serializer/deserializer? I just want to know if it's as bad as that or if there are alternatives.

you can use spp to transfer any data you want to, no need to use OBEX.
it is possible to implement obex on spp, we already did it for a certain device.
much easier if you can control the data format on both sides of the connection though.
