Default Weather Icon on Desktop?

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know of any free weather icons for the BB desktop? I prefer Accu-Weather, but I don't know if their downloadable program puts an icon on the BB desktop.

It shows several versions. Which do I use for the Curve 8310 with AT&T?

When you get to the download page, click the link for Install BBWeather 0.74.

it says "No profile found" and freezes the 8820 I have. Don't use it.

Thanks. That was helpful. You dont need to let your device freeze and then pull the battery tho. After you install it just shut the device off using the red off button and then turn it back on. When it restarts, open BBWeather and use the track ball to get to the menu (not the menu key). Then define a user profile and everything should work fine.

Default Push weather forecasts

Having the icon is nice but not practical. Last time I tried one of the two push weather aps I found the fcst was at least 1/2 day old so useless. It's far better to just bookmark a couple of good mobile weather sites. I also found that once I subscribed to push weather, it's not so easy to get rid of it.

BBWeather isn't like that... I don't really like it tho... I agree with you I like just using browser bookmarks... Seems to be more accurate

So manually updating wasn't an option?

Default BB Weather

am using BB Weather on a Curve in the UK and it works fine except I would like 2 enhancements:-

1. Can it show temp in celsius rather than fahrenheit?
2. Any way of putting it on my home screen somewhere?

Thanks

TWC (The Weather Channel) also has a desktop app (basically a browser shortcut). Just go to weather.com on on your mobile browser and you should be prompted to install their mobile app. I have not tried any other apps and TWC serves the purpose for me...
