Default code signing & ide issues.

Please Login to Remove!

Its seems to be one of those days, whn everything goes wrong.
I have 3 issues ....
  1. I have a code signing setup on my pc. But due to a virus attack, i might have to format it. I was wondering, how tht will affect code signing utility on my pc. wht backup should i take, so tht i can reinstall the code signing keys on my pc after i for my pc.
  2. when i am trying to run any application on simulator, none of the application, other thn the default ones, r visible on the simulator. The applicatioon are active. and i have also tried running the clean.bat file. Nothing is working.
  3. i was experimenting with eclipse bb ide, whn i accidentally deleted the bb library jar frm the application. the library is still there in its location, but now none of the application recognized it. any suggestions will be appreciated.

The signing keys are all contained in the files C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE X.X.X\bin\sigtool.* if you installed your JDE in the standard location.

For applications to run in the simulator the JDE copies over the cod, csl, cso, debug and jar files to C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE X.X.X\simulator (again the default location). I don't know which ones are required, but have a look for the corresponding files of your application there. If they are missing it could be because the eclipse plugin isn't getting them over there when the simulator starts. I don't use eclipse so can't offer any more help.

something has gone seriously wrong with my pc after a sudden power out.

Before now the signing was working fine. But since today morning, it is not. I works only form within jde 4.5, and no where else. I tried coping the sigtool files frm 4.5 bin to 4.2.1 bin ... but whn i try to sign the cods, it says signing failed.

I have jde .. 4.1.0, 4.2.1, 4.3, 4.5 installed on my pc. with jdk 1.6. everythink was working fine till yesterday.

Also whn i tried something else, it asked me if i would like revoke the signing key. I was wondering wht exactly happens during revoking, and will it cost me.

I need these answers, before i decide whether or not to format my machine.

What, exactly, does the status (near the bottom of the sigtool window, you may have to scroll) say when signing fails?
