Angry Anyone know how to get Google Mobile App to launch Opera Mini instead of BB browser?

Please Login to Remove!

So sick of seeing "HTTP Error 413: Request Entity Too Large" evertime I click on a search result from Google Mobile App. Is there any freaking way I can launch a real browser (like Opera Mini 5 beta 2) from GMA?

No. Copy the link and paste it into OM.

Ok, my next question. How does one paste a URL into OM? What's the key sequence or shortcut? I instinctively hit the menu button when I have context to enter the URL and OM just refreshes the page I'm already at. I have not found a "paste" function in OM yet and its not listed in the help as far as I can see.

Highlight the link, then select copy from the menu. It works just like any other cut and paste function.

pshift, I didn't ask how to copy the link from google mobile app, I asked how you paste it in OM? There is no paste function that I can see. Have you not used OM?

Hmm. Which version of OM are you using?

I know the 4.1/4.2 version is heniously annoying for copying/pasting to that browsers address bar. Try going to the search app from the hompage click entery(should be dropped into a input window where paste (iirc) is available.

Despite that still strange my google mobile always opens the bb broswer. Do you have a data plan?

In OM5.2 on my 8300, I keep the track ball pressed and then the contextual menu pops up. From it select Paste. I hope in your case you would have to keep the track pad pressed to have the menu pop up. Most of the time it works but sometimes it didn't work for me. Just couldn't figure out why clicking on the Paste didn't paste anything.

Samnyemba, You're awsome! I never knew that holding the trackpad down would bring up a menu. Very cool. You da man!
