When I receive an SMS / MMS, there's supposed to be an icon on the top of my screen that lets me know that I have a new message, right?
The... yellow trapezoid with a red star looking thing?
Well, a lot of times, when I get a new SMS, that icon doesn't appear.
I do get an icon every single time for my email though.
Help?

What theme are you using?

the... i forgot what it's called,
it's the combination of Zen and Today.

If you just switch back to the regular BB Dimension Zen theme, does it work then?

I often get little indicators that I don't understand, and it is always linked to the theme.

Changed to the normal today theme, still didn't help.

Reload the latest version of the OS, check to be sure the icon is then showing up, then reload your theme and see what happens. I have to reload the OS once in a while for some of my users when random quirks start showing up. Good luck!

I shut off the device using the regular shut off method.
Then the device would not start when pressing and holding the red button, so I did a battery pull while the device was still off.
This started the device, as well as fixing the problem.
