Question Lotus Notes Meeting / Appointment Responses Not Syncing

Please Login to Remove!

Did some searching here and could not find any info...

We have 45 BBs in our company and mine seems to be the only one that has this issue, and I can't find the fix.

Issue: When I respond to a meeting invite (doesn't matter if I decline or accept) from either my Notes Inbox or by BB, the response does not sync the other way. In other words I still have the invite on my BB or Notes. If I accept the meeting, it is added to my Calendars and it should.

The weird part is that I've had this issue for 2 years and I'm on my 5th or 6th different BB. I've had different models and software versions, and it's followed me the whole way. I've nuked my BB several times and reloaded it, so I don't know if it is tied into my State DB somehow. I though my users were having the same issue, but it turns out they do not.

Any ideas on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

1. Is the Wireless sync on the calendar option turned on?
2. When you moved devices, do you do a backup and restore and end up restoring the service books as well?

I would try clearing out your service books since it sounds its been from device to device and re-provision.

I've nuked the BB once or twice, does that not delete the service books? I have the wireless calendar sync running and the calendar entries appear on my calendar as they should, but the notifications in my Inboxes just don't sync. Also we have wireless backup running, so I don't know if that means that the service books are being pushed back after I nuke it. Thanks for the help.

Nuking the BB does delete the service books and it is odd that this is happening with SP4 and Domino 7.02. I have never seen such. The only thing I am leaning against as a last resort is your BES profile and your state db.

Can you do an updall -r and a fixup -j on your state db.

He shoots, he scores! The updall -r on my State DB fixed the issue. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Its a good idea to add the BES into your weekly/bi weekly server maintenance plan.

You should have an updall -r every weekend. if you have a lot of mail movement during the week, then its a good thing to add it every night.
