Unhappy Error when plugging in blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

When I plug in my blackberry 9930 a driver installation window pops up installing MTP USB Device.

It continually fails. Even if I remove the micro sd card from the device it still does this same sequence and fails..I have removed and reloaded the Desktiop manager software which also did not help.

I have also wiped the device and reloaded it which also did not help.

I hope you can help. I truely appreciate your assistance ! : )

I'm not understanding what the problem is. If you were able to wipe and reload, that implies that you were able to connect the device to a pc.

Your laptop is trying to download/update the drivers for your BlackBerry as a USB drive. Sometimes uninstalling/re-installing Desktop Manager from RIM will force a driver update so this won't keep happening.

There is also a setting somewhere on the BB device itself for how it behaves when connected to a pc. You might want to change that setting.

Rambo47,
I think there was no another setting somewhere on the BB device itself.

Incorrect (again) - there is a setting on the BB that tells the PC whether or not to use the BB as a media card and set up the associated drive letter for it on the PC.
