Default Is it worth upgrading from 7230 to the 7290?

Hi all. I have been considering upgrading to the 7290 but I am not sure if it is worth the money to do it. I am on t-mobile service. My biggest complaints with the 7230 is the backlight being too dim, the internet being too slow (even with the reqwireless web browser), poor reception at my house, and having to constantly hard reset my 7230 every other day to get back some free memory. I do not like the call volume either. I was wondering if the improvments of the 7290 made it a worthy investment. I hate to say this but I have been thinking of going back to a sidekick II but have not made up my mind. As of now I am not happy with the 7230 and wonder if the 7290 could make me happier. I love the blackberry as a whole, I just have some issues with the 7230 that keep me from fully enjoying my crackberry experience. I do not use this phone for business at all and will only use it for personal use with BWC. I am leaning toward going back to a sidekick II, but if someone can talk me out of it cool. I like the earpiece volume and ring volume of the sidekick II. I tried a 7100t but hated it. The earpiece volume was horrible and in my opinion the browsing was worse than with the 7230. Is the 7290 the way to go or should I give up and go back to a sidekick II. HELP!! and thanks to all who respond!!

I would have to say the upgrade is worth it. You can store MANY more apps on the 7290, the 7290 has an actual backlight, its bluetooth capable and 32mb. You can get an awesome wireless headsets to incorporate into the bluetooth. It's way better. I used to have the 7230, and Im happy I upgraded.

I upgraded from the 7230 to the 7290 and am pleased. Bluetooth, much better backlighting, more memory, improved keyboard, and processing speed were all great for me.

i went from the sidekick2 to the bb7230 now to the bb7290. the sidekick was great if u like a toy with ringtones and a fuzzy camera. the bb7230 was good but i had greed for more power and a better light. the 7290 is the best it is faster and it can load more web pages due to the more memory.

I think it is sad then that even though the sidekick II gets labeled as a "toy", it has better earpiece volume and better ringer volume. If I can't hear on the blackberry then it doesn't serve as a very good "phone" (in my opinion). I believe as far as "basic phone operation" goes the sidekick II has the better "phone" quality. The phone is more important to me than the other services. Again I use this as an individual and do not need the blackberry for any type of business use. I don't even use the e-mail that much. Mostly the internet, text messages, and for phone calls. I can't understand why rim can't wake up and fix the volume issue. I know I know this is a "business phone" designed for corporate people. I would think a corporate person would want to hear who they are talking to also. Heaven forbid if you happen to walk into a slightly noisy area. You might as well hang up. I believe I made up my mind. Since I need a communication device with a better quality phone, then obviously it isn't going to be a blackberry device. At least until they fix the volume. Thanks to all who responded.
