when you hold the mute button to put the phone in standby mode, does it automatically enter standby, or does it prompt to hit ok?
Verizon's OS prompts to enter, TelUS auto enters (which I'm using and prefer).

It automatically goes into standby mode.

Did you do any of these steps to reset your email?

My Email Stopped Arriving - BlackBerryFAQ

Did you also check your settings in Mobile Yahoo, uninstall/reinstall it, etc?

That's just a setting in the options of your email.

Before I upgraded my OS to version 4.3.0.71 (Sprint) I was running version 4.3.0.65 (Telus), so far I haven't noticed any major differences between the two.

It's exactly the same...you should load it to your PC so you can access your phone via the App Loader, but it is the same OS that is on your phone, and all the Sprint 8130s at this point.

I had two failed attempts at updating until I realized I had USB Mass Storage mode active...the process would just hang. Turning it off solved the problem, so I would suggest others turn it off as well during OS updates.

Other than that, smooth update. I will report if I notice any substantial changes.

I have my set to "Prompt" and it worked fine. I thought I had it set to Auto when I did the Telus, and that also worked.

I have over 17MB free memory, more than I've had before. Anyone else seeing that? Wonder if memory is managed better (or the OS itself is a bit smaller?) with this release...

Not that this really belongs here, but are you guys simply saying you have 15MB free when you see 15,000,000 Bytes?

If so, then that is an incorrect reading. In reality, 15,000,000 Bytes would actually convert to a little over 14MB. Not a huge difference, but when were counting every single MB, it's more accurate. The unit for storage is based upon 1024, not 1000.

You can use the conversion calculator here to test: Bit Calculator - Convert between bits/bytes/kilobits/kilobytes/megabits/megabytes/gigabits/gigabytes.

Ya I know, when you delete the pics and ringtones and themes that come with the BB it frees up a lot of space.
