Default BOLD red led flashing

Please Login to Remove!

i bought a bold and it was bought as is meaning it only had flashing red led when battery inserted or when battery is off and usb cable is on. I have tried everything to get my computer to recognize via usb and nothing.. i have tried all including every possible way JL Cmndr .. any help will be great!

So, what's the problem? Is it just that your computer is not recognizing your Bold? Did you download the latest Desktop Manager? And if needed, the USB drivers for the Bold from the Blackberry website?

The red led flashes when you receive a message. I'm not entirely clear on whether you're saying there's some problem with your red led or not...

doesnt power on just flashes led red... i have install all the new desktop and drivers etc.. but when i attach the usb wire to the computer i dont hear the beep.. im trying to even trying thru the loader by pulling battery plugging back to usb still nothing.. it recognizes the curve when i test it but not the bold

Sounds dead to me.. Go back and get a replacement if you got it from a retailer. Have you let it charge overnight with the AC adapter?

I had a flashing red LED once on the 8100 and it was due to an really really flat battery. Try charging on mains adapter for at least an hour before trying power on.

worth a try!

been on forever! no go.. the unit looks like one of these evaluation units.. ie all the imei stickers from the back are peeled off.. guy sold it for $100 says just blinks
