ok sorry but i have not had any luck installing themes using bb desktop manager. i d/l the transformers theme along with some others. also i d/l the files for the trackball color change but i don't know what to do with them. if anyone could point me in the right direction or if there are tutorials out there i would be greatful for the links.

from desktop manager select application loader on next menu select add and navigate to where the alx file is

jad files are to be installed over the air (OTA) go to the link you downloaded it the file from you BB browser and install them from there

or use this application to convert them to COD files then use desktop manager
