Anyone know how to go back to the last OS? I still have it on my PC. Is it just a matter of "uninstalling" the newest version?

Lower case edge means you are not connected to the RIM data system. You will get no service books, email, internet or data. You *may* still have some data for 3rd party apps that are able to use TCP.

I'm having the Calendar sync problem with AT&T OS. Will the upgrade work for me on a phone locked to AT&T. Will I still be able to use My AT&T SIM after the new OS is installed without problems? Should I wait for the AT&T updated OS?

Device brand doesn't matter. This OS will work fine on any Curve. If you are having the calendar problems then I recommend this upgrade. OS doesn't change branding. Everything will still be AT&T

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Anybody run this yet with T-Mo? Do you lose the browser? I will install it tomorrow and report back, but if anyone has had success yet, please let us know!

just upgraded mine a few minutes ago, so i haven't had much time to play with it yet. i did experience the 'edge' only for a bit, but it was resolved as soon as i did a Register Now with the Host Routing Table.

I haven't seen anyone post an answer to this. If, for some reason, one wants to revert back to the AT&T OS, is it a simple matter of uninstalling the latest version and reinstalling the AT&T version?

Yes, uninstall the newest version. If you had the older version already installed then it should still be there. Otherwise download it and install it and you will get the prompt to downgrade.

You can't do Register Now until you have EDGE. The Register Now will take effect when EDGE is received but Register Now doesn't bring up EDGE.

I just ran the new OS executable and installed on my desktop. When I run DM, it doesn't prompt me to upgrade, downgrade or anything else. Do I have to manually add the alx files from the desktop?

Did you delete the vendor.xml file?

John, it doesn't appear in the apploader folder. Perhaps that's because I don't have the original ATT OS on my desktop.

Are you looking in the right place? If you've installed Desktop Manager, then installed this OS to your PC it should place the vendor.xml in the apploader folder. You might try uninstalling and installing again. If it's truly not there after the install then something is going wrong during the install to your PC. You don't need the original AT&T OS unless you want to downgrade later.

Edit: I see that you found it.

I don't know what those modules are for. However, here are some items I hadn't noticed in earlier software releases:

Under Manage Connections, the name of the Mobile Network is listed in blue as well as the status of bluetooth:
