I would be okay with a slight bump.

Ditto on the extended life battery being the standard size.

I'd be interested if the battery was the same size as the standard OEM one.

And, just as with the Pearl, the rumor is that RIM won't be releasing an ext battery, so this is a great thing. The extra "bump" is worth having the extra "up" time. Please make the little mirror a little better. That's my only gripe.

I would be interested only if its half the size of the OEM battery. That way I can use the spare space to stash some drugs or something.

I kid...I kid. I prefer OEM size. Definitely interested.

John,

Someone else mentioned a problem with their mirror. I'll definitely have our engineers check into that. In the meantime, if your mirror is bad email me at [email address] and we'll get you a replacement door.

Thanks

This is what I got from my account manager that handles my inventories...
"RIM is not making clip-on holster for this handset due to the finish on the handset. They are concerned about scratching, so the opted not to produce plastic holsters for the 8100, 8800, and 8300.

The 8300 features a battery with 1100 mAh, so they do not plan to release an extended life battery. The handset was designed with this extra power battery."

I guess it is a fact now

i will get one from you as soon as its out! i had one of them for my treo 650/700p and it lasted through both phones! in its prime it gave me about 2 times the battery life. when it started to fail from use, it gave me the normal treo battery life! best battery. period. so count me in for the 8300, and i would prefer it fit in the oe cover....but i know you will come up with something and either way ill take it! p.s. i wouldn't have a prob w/ a bump on the back, cause the curve w/ stock battery feels half as heavy as my treo w/ stock battery (just estimate....ill get out my pot scale later )
