Default Flashing LED after OS 4.5 upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

After upgrading to OS 4.5 on my 8120, when I miss a call the led flashes red. That's fine but even after checking the call the led keeps flashing. If I restart the phone the flashing is gone but starts again after another missed call. If I answer a call there is no flashing. Any ideas? Thanks

Well the flashing LED us standard. It should clear when you view or delete the missed call. Also check out other message folders to make sure the missed call isn't being recorded there but not being cleared by viewing in the inbox. I have had that problem. The missed call gets logged in MMS or SMS folder and may not clear the LED unless you get into that folder.

Phone Options > Call Logging > UNcheck Missed Calls if it is checked.

I think the logged missed call is creating the alert which prompts the red LED.

All are unchecked so I am not logging any calls.

It does not appear in any of my messages folders. SMS or MMS. Is there anywhere else I should look? If I turn the phone off and then back on it will stop.

Thanks anyways. It is very annoying. I might have to go back to older version.

If you go into messages and then being up the menu and select view folder. You will see a folder near the bottom that is called missed calls. Make sure there is nothing in there.

Also go into call logging and make sure that NONE actually is checked.

Moonshadow, There are calls in that folder including the test ones I have been trying but I do have none checked in the logging options. How do I get them to not go that folder?

*edit* I deleted all the missed calls in that folder also but the led is still flashing.

When you installed 4.5 did you happen to have color pearl installed on your blackberry? If so, It will not work with new os,simply delete form your apps screen do a quick battery pull(soft reset will not work on new os either) and problem solved.

I have an 8120 that shipped with OS 4.5.0.37

I have the same issue with the flashing LED, but only sometimes. For me it's usually in BlackBerry Messenger - and I think it's when I write a message at almost the exact moment that I receive a message from a friend.

My LED flashing goes away as soon as another call/SMS/EMail/Messenger message comes in.

My workaround is to send myself an email, but it's very annoying.

I have the the exact same problem! I can live with it... but my battery will not last as much as it would without the led flashing all the time... Does anyone know how to fix that?

As he stated above, If you do have colorpearl just delete from your DM.
This will correct your problem.
