Default Automatically Reboots

I like the new OS. Finally breathes some life in the curve.

However, here is a problem that I have encountered. Today this happened twice. I was on a call and around 20 mins in the call, the Curve rebooted. I have taken the battery out and let it boot properly......i'll wait and see if that fixes it.

Anyone else see the same issue.

Your 8300 will ONLY load the 8300 specific OS... get it.

8300 = 8300

8300 xxx8800; 8310
8300 xxx8800; 8320
8300 xxx8800; 8330

I noticed that my curve screen is a lot brighter at times when I take it out of the holdster or use it. I think the screen brightness setting needs to be adjusted. I already set it at the lowest backlight setting but its still bright. Dunno what else to do.

Well I take that back. I'm losing all my contacts on my BB Messenger during a rest. Anyone know the fix for this?

I have a 8300 running .55. It's never exibited this behaviour. Maybe you have service book issues? I would try deleting all your service books and getting them resent. I don't think there's a downside to doing that...

So I don't completely screw up my Blackberry, can you provide further instructions? Keep in mind that I am on a BES.

I've had this issue with several of the 4.5 builds. I found this solution in one of the previous build posts, but cant seem to find it anywhere.

options >> security optioins >> General settings >> Content Protection >> disabled

Thanks that won't work for me since I'm on a BES and Content Protection is enable and locked. Any other possible fix?

I wouldn't like to say. You may have to get it re-activated by your BES admin... But to delete the service book, go to Options|Advanced|Service book, and delete them one by one.

You may then be able to get them back youself using Options|Advanced|Host Routing Table, and doing a menu|Register Now.

Good luck...

I don't have content protection enabled by the way, so this may be the route of the problem anyway

It will backup/restore all your installed apps (unless something goes wrong during the install.) I recommend doing this before upgrading.

Your BB will always be unlocked. You can't lock it again, no matter what you do.

This release is MultiLanguage. I'm not certain Hebrew is included but I *think* it is.

Yes, you can downgrade back to what you have as long as you have the old OS installed to your PC.

Hey, what's the deal with Facebook and ATT? I never get notices with the desktop icon version that you can download. I know you can set up on facebook to send messages to your cell. My sister has Verizon and she just downloaded facebook and it works perfectly. Is this an ATT problem, or a me problem?

your email where you get your FB notifications has to be the same email in which you get your email on your BB. It uses your e-mail inbox to know when you get an update on FB!
Hope that helps

I've ran into a situatation that I haven't ever experienced.. I downloaded the most current software for the 8320 (the east asia one). I installed the software like I used to with my 8700 then went in and delete the vendor.xml file in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

I then start the desktop manager and it does its normal routine and then just sits there. Is there other files I have to mess with now? I am using the 4.6 version of the desktop manager and my phone's current os is 4.2.2.180
