My Vodafone 8310 does have the indicator as the pic shows.

Any ideas?
Yes, all BBs have that liquid damage indicator. On the 8310, it is up in the housing nearer the SIM and Media Card area.

I have not checked it for water damage instead took it to a cell repair place who has had it for the past week and told me the main board was fried. First is that possiable? Oh yeah and said it would only cost me $295.00 to put a new board in, but they were supposed to call me when they found the problem with an estimate to fix it. They never did so when I called no one knew anything until the supposid manager got on the pjone then all of a sudden he knew everything going on with it though he never touched it and it was a nother tech working on it. Very strange and I plan on making a stink out of it when I pick the phone up tomorrow, but in the meanwhile I still need to fix it any suggestions or help to offer?
Sorry about your problem.

The best suggestions are posted clearly in the link above to your FAQ, and to KEEP the battery out of the device. Good luck.

Hmm ... I will have to take a picture of it and show you. One of mine has the liquid damage indicator and the other one does not. Unless it turns dark black when the indicator is ON and it exactly matches the wall that surrounds it. Very odd.
