Smile What is Mass Storage Mode?

Please Login to Remove!

My 3310 is asking if I want to "turn on Mass Storage Mode? You might not be able to access some media files in this mode."

Can somebody explain what this so called "Mass Storage Mode" is all about? Should I turn it on? Why, why not.

I do intend on using the 3310 to play mp3s and the odd video and have a 4gb storage card installed.

Thanks!

Before you yell at me for asking a question asked a million times, I started by searching for "what is mass storage mode" and got zero results.

I turned mine on on my 8300 and now it shows up in Windows Explorer as a drive. I can just drag files right over to it with no problem.

Does that mean I can drag and drop mp3 files instead of going through the interminable Rhapsody program??

Yes you can drag and drop then. I dont see any good reason to NOT turn on mass storage mode.

If you have a memory card in your device you should see this prompt. It's just asking you if you want to enable your memory card.
