I think they know it..
but in order to fix it ,they have to re-write OS
which they will refuse to do...

When I called, the RIM jobbers up there said they weren't leaks, they are cached data to make the phone perform as expected.

it might not be the os but rather 3rd party apps that induce this. which rim has no control over?

It is their apps as well as my 8310 will leak some from the time you pull the battery and it does not recover about 5-6mb even if you close everything up.

Strange but my 8820 does not leak a bit.

From the options-stauts screen, if you hit menu it brings up database sizes. On that list there is a category named 'content store.' This is obviously taking up most of my memory. Is the content store the pictures that I have saved on the device?
