Default Same issue

My little girl slobbered all over my 8310. Got the periodical blinking red light. Tried using the vers 4.2.2. and 4.5

To no avail...got the "Error message: unable to connect to device during multi stage load operation" message.

Any chance?

It took me many tries (probably at least 20) but it finally wiped it and magically works again! Thank you!!

Unhappy Flashing red lights

- remove the SIM card, MicroSD (this seems to be the culprit), and battery.
- let it sit for a minute
- only insert the battery and let it fully boot
- power it off
- put the battery, SIM, and MicroSD card back in
- let it boot normally

Hopefully this helps... usually I get into the "flashing light" scenario when I've made changes to my account and/or recently dropped my phone. Honestly, I've never been able to completely put my finger on it and not sure if all the steps above are necessary but it seems to do the trick every time.
The first part worked- only inserting the battery and powering up, but when I put the SIM card back in, the flashing red lights returned. Any suggestions? BTW- my BB went swimming with my toddler today if that makes a difference!

Don't know if this helps but have you tried clearing out all of your email, sms, mms, etc....?
Possible that the red light is a notification of some sort, for unchecked messages or just letting you know of connectivity. I may be off but I seem to recall setting "led notification" to "off" for several things (i.e. bluetooth, call connected, voice mail etc...)

I once had something like this on my 8830. The pattern of blinking red lights means something to RIM. I think mine was 3 quick short blinks followed by a long. They had me do that loader thing, didn't work, and since it was within 30 days, they just gave me a new one.
