Default Why can't I get my hotmail account linked?

Please Login to Remove!

It tells me something about POP support. and when I try to log on to Hotmail.com
it tells me i need javascript required to sign in and to see the browser online help. what browser? tmobile's? or hotmail's?

Does the BB web browser support hotmail and gmail at all?
Thanks,
Del

I know that the browser does support gmail 100%. Never tried hotmail though. Give the Opera Mini browser a shot..

I actually get into Google and Gmail on the browser, but I cant connect it to my blackberry email connection
so far I've only been able to connect the yahoo mail acount.
hotmail and gmail does not seem to want to connect. I don't mind having to log on to the sites to connect to email. But hotmail doesn't even let me in.

Where do I get this java thingy from?

Is there a setting in your Browser that enables java scripts? I know on my 7130 I had to set it to enable.

As far as Java goes, you may click the wheel in the browser, go to options, and you should be able to check off some settings towards the bottom. One of them is to allow javascript. Also what emulation are you using? That is listed towards the top of the options menu. Try Microsoft IE if you can.

hotmail is not suported as it is not pop3 or imap compatible. what i do is thru the browser go to hotmail.com and log in to my account, as soon as i am in, i set that page up as a bookmark, and when you hit that bookmark, you go right into your inbox.

You should be able to enable POP access in your Gmail account - that will allow you to integrate that address (or set up a forwarding rule)

As for Hotmail you need POP access - which is available now only w/ Hotmail Plus...however even with POP access you will not be able to integrate your Hotmail address w/ T-Mobile as they do not allow it

Hotmail is 100% pop3 compatible, BUT you have to pay a one year subscription of $19.95 to UPGRADE your account to a hotmail plus account and you will have zero problems. The instructions can be found once you log into your hotmail account in the righthand corner, let me know if you have anyproblems and i will walk you through it...

Hotmail plus with outlook is accessed through http and not pop3. I purchased a program called "hotmail popper" (google it) years ago and use it to access my hotmail account through a pop3 server so i get my hotmail email sent directly to my blackberry 8700g.

this is not always true i'm using bis though cingular on my 7100 and it is able to retrieve hotmail. This is not very true in terms of out look but not so in bis.

But if wost comes to worst have you mail fowarded from you hotmail to you blackberry.

If your with T-Mobile you will not be able to add your Hotmail account to your handheld - T-Mobile does not allow MSN/Hotmail accounts to be added for some reason even if your paying for Hotmail Plus

Personally i have a hard time trusting giving my email addrfess passwords to 3rd party programs (i'm parnoid they'll sell my info. and i'll get more SPAM then i do already at the very least) and just deal with not having my Hotmail going to my handheld

If you're considered a "valued" hotmail account holder (this seems to mean you've had your account for more than 4 years, but dont quote me) you can use hotmail popper settings to push a basic hotmail account email onto your blackberry. This is the program i use.
