Default Calendar Sync Issue on BES 4.0 Server (Changing MAPI Profile)

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently running BES 4.0 (No service packs) with an Exchange 2003 SP1 server. When I upgraded to 4.0 last month, we have noticed that the calendar sync function only works one way; Outlook to BB. I have tried numerous fixes including checking the cdo.dll file on both servers, made sure that all of the permissions are set correctly for besadmin. My log file shows the following when a calendar item is created on the blackberry:

Quote:
[30001] (02/22 11:44:06):{0x684} CDOCalendar::Initialize - Code = 80040705, WCode = 0505, Code meaning = IDispatch error #1285,
[30002] (02/22 11:44:06):{0x684} Server = exchange, Mailbox = /o=First Organization/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=jkraatz Description = You do not have permission to log on. [Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store - [MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDER(8004011D)]].
[30180] (02/22 11:44:06):{0x684} {jkraatz} CDOCalendar::Initialize - Error in call m_spCalendarFolder = m_spCDOSession->GetDefaultFolder.
[40000] (02/22 11:44:06):{0x684} CDO initializing failure in CDO helper 07d9b008 (2)
[30001] (02/22 11:44:07):{0x684} CDOCalendar::Initialize - Code = 80040705, WCode = 0505, Code meaning = IDispatch error #1285,
[30002] (02/22 11:44:07):{0x684} Server = exchange, Mailbox = /o=First Organization/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=jkraatz Description = You do not have permission to log on. [Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store - [MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDER(8004011D)]].
[30180] (02/22 11:44:07):{0x684} {jkraatz} CDOCalendar::Initialize - Error in call m_spCalendarFolder = m_spCDOSession->GetDefaultFolder.
[40000] (02/22 11:44:07):{0x684} CDO initializing failure in CDO helper 07d9b008 (3)
From what I understand this implies that there is some type of permission issue. Since this did work before I upgraded, I remember using the administrator mapi profile when I built the new BES Server; which I know now is incorrect (but makes everything work except for the calendar sync). So my question is, how would I change the mapi profile to use BESAdmin instead of Administrator? Simply logging in as BESAdmin does not seem logical since the services start on thier own without anyone being logged in. I would like to correct this before trying any SP3 upgrades, even if it doesn't fix the problem.

Thanks for the help!

Does Blackberry's KB-02466, "Support - Wireless calendar synchronization only occurs in one direction" have anything to do with the problem?

It's happening to some users here on our 4.0 BES, but not all. Works both ways on my Verizon 7250, does not on another user's 7250. They only get wireless calendar sync from Outlook to Blackberry.

Does anyone know if this may be the problem and if so where do I get the setcalstore.exe file?

My issue is company wide and the KB article you sugested appears to only apply to BES 3.5, which niether of us appear to be running. I may give up shortly and start looking for other options since after today it would appear that service is about to become very short lived.
