Since I've already put my two shiny pennies in on another thread, I thought I'd pop by and say hey.
Just received my blackberry pearl on Wednesday, so I'm still learning the tips and tricks bit.
The pearl is an upgrade from the Sidekick II that I've had for about a year. First thing I have to say is "Man, is this thing TINY compared to the Sidekick!"
I was pretty fast when typing on the sidekick, but this new suretype stuff is definiately taking some getting used to.
Welcome to the forums. There's lots of debate on Suretype and users either love it or hate it. If you give it two weeks to get used to it, you'll probably have it conquered. Good luck.
I got to use the SureType for a few hours last night, and during the day, and it's gotten easier to get used to. I'm sure it'll take some time, but I think it's going okay. Once I get my memory cards, I'll be all set.
