Hi I have a bb bold 9900. I am in australia and have my phone account setup for bis. I've rung my telco about this a lot but they insist I have bis activated. I'm wondering what I need to do to get it to work. I hAve version 7.1.0 software. Does it need upgrade?

At the moment I can't setup email or do anything with blackberry world or blackberry id.. I have done battery pulls etc and no changes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It does sound like the carrier did not set it up properly.
Normally the BIS type accounts require a specific blackberry data plan to allow data including email.
Try to create an account on the Telstra BIS service for email etc. If it does not allow you to create one then I would call the carrier back
